A meteorite 9 times larger than the world's tallest statue 'Statue of Unity' is going to pass very close to the earth. According to the US space agency NASA, the meteorite will pass very close to the earth on March 21 (Sunday). The agency also clarified that there is no threat to the Earth from these meteorites.

However, NASA has also identified it as a potentially dangerous meteorite. The meteorite was discovered in 2001. The meteorite will pass about 1.2 million kilometers from Earth.

It will be closest to Earth on March 21.

According to a report from Live Science, the meteorite is about 0.8 to 1.7 kilometers in diameter. It will pass through a distance of about 12 lakh kilometers from the earth, although from a spatial point of view this distance is considered to be very close. This distance is 5 times the distance between the Moon and the Earth. It will travel at a speed of 1,24,000 km per hour. According to NASA, asteroids with a size of more than 500 meters and passing at a distance of less than 7.5 million kilometers from the Earth have the potential to endanger life on our planet.

Aperture

can be seen with a telescope This meteorite can be seen with a telescope with an aperture capacity of 8 inches. According to scientists, it will appear on the southern horizon after sunset. This type of meteorite orbiting the sun is usually found in our solar system between Mars and Mercury. Some asteroids also pass between the Earth and the Moon.

No threat to Earth for next 100 years

Scientists have found that meteorites pose no threat to Earth for at least 100 years. Asteroid 410777 could be a threat to Earth in the year 2185, although its probability is also one of 714. In the last 66 million years, no body has collided with the Earth that could cause trouble for human life.
