Friction again in LAC:20 Chinese soldiers and 4 Indian soldiers injured in renewed melee between Indian and Chinese armies, Indian troops stay in Sikkim

A scuffle has broken out between Indian and Chinese troops in Sikkim amid renewed tensions on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. It is believed that three days ago, the Chinese army in Kula, Sikkim, tried to change the current position of the LAC and some of its troops were trying to enter the Indian border. Meanwhile, Indian troops stopped Chinese troops.

The incident was revealed by the Indian Army on Monday. According to sources, Chinese troops tried to cross the LAC. On January 20, a general scuffle broke out between Chinese and Indian troops on the LAC, the army said. It was then addressed at the local commander level.

Meanwhile, a scuffle broke out between Indian and Chinese troops, in which four Indian and 20 Chinese soldiers were injured. Although the current situation is considered tense but stable. A senior Indian Army official said that strict security measures have been put in place at every point along the Indian territory despite the bad weather conditions.

The infiltration also took place 17 days ago.
On January 8, a Chinese soldier was arrested while infiltrating the Indian border. The incident took place in the southern part of Pagong Tso Lake in eastern Ladakh. India returned their troops 2 days later. China had clarified that its troops had mistakenly entered the Indian border.

Earlier in October, a Chinese soldier had infiltrated the Indian border. A Chinese soldier was arrested in the Demchok sector in October. On 21 October it was handed over to Chinese officers at the Chushul-Moldo meeting. He was detained by the Indian Army for two days.

During the 15-hour meeting between the two countries,
China is holding talks at the military and diplomatic levels. On the other hand there is also a constant intrusion attempt. Currently, the atmosphere here is tense as Chinese troops try to infiltrate Indian territory.

To ease the tension, the 9th phase meeting between Indian and Chinese military officials was held yesterday in Moldo, eastern Ladakh. The meeting lasted approximately 15 hours and no decision was reached. At the meeting, India appealed to reduce tensions on the LAC.

In June last year, violent clashes
between India and China is running stress in April last year. In June 2020, a scuffle broke out between the two countries in Galwan in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed. More than 40 Chinese soldiers were also killed, although China has never acknowledged this.
