A huge fire has broken out in a furniture godown at Shreeji Estate near Gota on Ahmedabad's SG Highway. As many as 12 vehicles of the fire brigade have been dispatched to the spot. Top fire officials have also reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire. The fire is more prevalent due to the fire in the furniture. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The government took a big decision on
fire safety in October last year. An important decision was taken by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in October 2020 to protect the lives and property of the people from fire due to strict implementation of fire safety in the state. A search operation was launched in the factories located in Vatva GIDC area for illegal storage and consumption of chemicals as well as fire safety. Which was investigated by the police. In the coming days, FSL, GPCB and fire teams will be inspected in Rakhi factories. So that there is no safety issue and undesirable incidents can be prevented.
