Bhaskar Explaner:How to register for corona vaccine? How will the vaccine be given? Learn answer from AIIMS Director

The Center released a video on all the questions related to registration, eligibility, schedule
The video released in three parts explained the whole process of vaccination

India is all set to start vaccination next week. The government has also said that vaccination could start on January 13-14.

The question now is who will get the vaccine and when? Will the vaccine be given all at once? How long will it take for the body to make antibodies after vaccination? How will the vaccine be selected for vaccination? The government has released a three-part video to answer some of these questions. The director of AIIMS Delhi, Dr. Randeep Guleria has replied. Here are the answers to some of the selection questions Dr. Guleria has given-

Will everyone be vaccinated together?

No. Not right now. It will depend on the availability of the vaccine. The government has identified priority groups keeping in view the risk factor. The second group includes people over the age of 50 and people over the age of 50 who are suffering from diseases such as diabetes and blood pressure. That's a total of 30 crores.

Is vaccination mandatory?
No. The government has left it to your will. Even then, my advice is that you and your loved ones need to be vaccinated.

How many doses of vaccine will be given?

There will be two doses of the vaccine. It will be given at intervals of 28 days. When all are given two doses, the vaccine schedule will be complete.

How long will it take for the antibody to form?
At least 42 days after the first dose, i.e. two weeks after the second dose, the body will develop antibodies to the corona.

Will there be side effects and what will it be like?
Side effects cannot be ignored. Common side effects in vaccines are normal. Side effects such as mild fever, pain in the vaccinated area, body aches may appear. States have been ordered to provide protection in the process of vaccination. If any side effects appear, it will be treated on the same site.

How do I know if I am vaccinated?
The vaccine is being given to priority groups in the early stages. These people will be notified on a registered mobile number. Where the vaccine will be given, a message will come from the primary center. It will also tell you when and where the vaccine will be given so that people will not have any problems.

Can a vaccine be taken without registration?
No. This will not happen. Registration is mandatory. Information about the vaccine will be available only after registration. The government has created the Covin (Co-WIN) app and platform, which will help in real-time monitoring of vaccines. Only after this process will you be able to get vaccinated.

What documents are required for registration?
This document must be accompanied by photo: Driving License, Health Insurance Smart Card issued by the Ministry of Labor, MGNREGA Job Card, Pen Card, Bank / Post Office Passbook, Passport, Pension Document, Service ID issued to Central and State Government Employees and Water ID Card.

What if I don't have a photo ID?
Photo ID is required at the time of registration and vaccination. This will determine if the vaccine has been given to the right person.

How do people get information about the date of vaccination?
After online registration, those who have registered will get SMS. It will have the date, place and time written on it.

Yes. After the vaccination, an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number of the person. A QR-Code based certificate will also be sent after all doses are applied.

If a person has symptoms of corona and is positive, will he or she also be vaccinated?
No, such people can spread such an infection at the vaccination site. We do not know how effective the vaccine will be in such cases. I believe that those who have been infected should be vaccinated 14 days after the onset of symptoms

Does a person who has recovered from corona need to be vaccinated?
Yes, people who have had or have had coronary heart disease are also advised to get vaccinated. A good immune response to this infection can be developed in Teva.

If a person is taking medicine for diseases like cancer, diabetes, hypertension, should he also be vaccinated?
Yes, I think it is very important that these types of people get vaccinated, because they are in the high risk group. It is important for them to understand that the effects of the vaccine will not be affected by the drugs.

What precautions should be taken after vaccination?
My advice is to rest for a minimum of 30 minutes after vaccination. Inform the officers present there if any symptoms appear and trouble occurs. So you can be treated as needed.
