The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Cambridge Analytica for allegedly stealing data of Indian Facebook users. The CBI has also initiated proceedings against Global Science Research, another UK company, in the case. The data theft involved the data of 5.62 lakh Indian users. In this regard, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica data theft case will be investigated by the CBI.
