The couple was hit by a rickshaw while riding on a scooter near Kanaiya Chowk in Gandhigram area of the city, causing the couple to fall on the road. However, the wife's mouth was pierced when the heavy wheel of the tractor trolley coming from behind turned again. The whole incident has been captured on CCTV. Currently CCTV footage of the accident has gone viral on social media. The Gandhigram police have registered a case under sections 79 and 337 of the EPCO and sections 177 and 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act.

The accident took place on March 3 at the
Gandhigram police station. Gopalbhai Solanki said in his complaint that he was working as a salesman in a private company in Rajkot to support his family. On March 3, at half past seven in the morning, I sat on the pleasure with my wife Neha and went to Rayaroad to attend the funeral of my cousin Sachinbhai's daughter Nancy. At around 8.30 am, an autorickshaw driver hit the back of a shop called Amar Sales Agency near Kanaya Chowk and we both fell on the road. Later, the wheel of a tractor trolley turned on my wife's mouth.
