In 1592, on the same day, the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan was born in lahor...

Khurram Shahjahan was born in Lahore on 5 January 1592, from the womb of Jagat Gosai, daughter of Mota King Uday Singh, ruler of Jodhpur.

On February 24-1628, in Shahjahan Agra, Abul Muzaffar Shahabuddin Muhammad Sahib received the title of Kiran-e-Sahib and sat on the throne.

Shah Jahan gave Asaf Khan the post of Wazir. He gave Mahavat to the title of a Khanquan.

He let Nurjahan go to Lahore with a pension of Rs 2 lakh per annum, where he died in 1645.


Shahjahan is remembered for the Taj Mahal, which he built in Agra with white marble for his wife Mumtaz Mahal on the bank of Yamuna river. The artist who created the Taj Mahal was Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.

Shahjahan laid the foundation of Shahjahanabad on the right bank of the Yamuna to bring his capital from Agra to Delhi in 1638 AD. The Jama Mosque of Agra was built by Shah Jahan's daughter Jahangir.

The chief painters of the court of Shahjahan were Muhammad Fakir and Mir Haasim. Among the sons of Shah Jahan, Daraishkoha was the most intelligent, he translated Bhagavad Gita and Yogavashitth Upanishad and Ramayana into Persian.

Shahjahan constructed a college in Delhi and repaired the Darul Baka College.

When Shah Jahan fell sick, his four sons started a struggle for succession in Dara Shikoh, Shahu Shuja, Aurangzeb and Murad Bakhsh in 1657 AD.

On 16th June 1658, Aurangzeb captured Shah Jahan.

On April 25, 1658, a battle between Dhara and Aurangzeb was fought. Dara was defeated in this war.

The battle of Samudhgarh took place between Dara and Aurangzeb in 1658, in this war, Dara was defeated. Daraishikoh, the Mughal emperor was the eldest son of Shah Jahan.

Dara Shikoh was very much the person of the diarrhea. Daraishkoha is known as Shah Luld Iqbal.

The last war of the successor took place in the valley of Deviarai from 12 to 14 April 1659 AD.

• On the defeat of Dara in this war, he was assassinated on 30 August 1659, in the crime of defy Islam.

In the fort of Agra, the eighth year of his prisoner's life means that on January 31, 1666, Shahjahan died at the age of 74.
