Weather Watch Group meeting persisted Heavy rains forecast in North Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch areas starting August 15-16. Rains starting in the week are likely to fall till next week: NDRF teams on stand-by following meteorological department forecast:

Heavy rains also are forecast in Saurashtra-Kutch areas including North Gujarat on Assumption and 16. a gathering of the Weather Watch was started by Ms. T. J. Vyas, Deputy Collector, State Emergency Operations Center, to welcome all the web officers.




Relief Commissioner Shri Harshad Patel told the officers to present within the virtual meeting that this morning from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm in 8 talukas 1 mm to three mm of rain has been recorded. the very best rainfall of 5 mm has been recorded in Kalyanpur taluka. The state has received 31.5 mm of rainfall till 11/09/2030. Which is 7.5% as compared to the state average of 31 mm for the last thirty years.





The rains that started in the week are likely to increase next week. Heavy rains are likely in North Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch areas around August 14 and 15.


it had been stated by the Department of Agriculture that an estimated 3.02 lakh hectares of Kharif crops are planted till 10/08/2030 this year. During an equivalent period last year, 21.5 lakh hectares were planted. This year, 51.50% of the world has been planted against the typical area under the last three years.

According to the Irrigation Department, the Sardar Sarovar reservoir has an existing surface of 114.5 meters and a storage of 1,31,008 mcf of water. Which is 31.12% of the entire storage capacity. also as 2.50 cusecs of water are received.

the entire storage in 203 reservoirs of the state is 4.5%. at the present, there are 4 reservoirs on high alert, 11 reservoirs on alert and three reservoirs on warning. consistent with the Fisheries Department, fishermen are banned from plowing the seas from today till Assumption. Mr. Patel said that next week, Ta. NDRF teams are on standby following the forecast of heavy rains from Assumption to Assumption.


These teams also will be sent to North Gujarat if required. Saurashtra - Kutch and South Gujarat NDRF team are going to be retained. Following the forecast of heavy rains, all the departments are instructed to be vigilant and prepare beforehand.
