In fact, a digital file (JPG file) of a picture of American artist Beeple sold for Rs 501 crore. In fact this picture is a digital collage of different pictures. collage has been auctioned off by auction house Christie's. This collage is named 'Everydays: The First 5,000 Days'. The collage was made available online for about two weeks for auction.

The starting price of the collage was kept at just Rs 7,200. Blockchain technology now converts digital items into unique items and then sells them at a higher price. Such digital assets are called Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT). Now Beeple's collage has become the most expensive NFT. As well as a video of Beeple being bought at a higher price last month. The 10-second video sold for around Rs 48 crore.

Also, the name of the person who bought the picture of Beeple for Rs 501 crore has not been disclosed. Beeple has also worked with pop star Justin Bieber, Katy Perry. Bipal depicts 12th century life in his paintings. Bipal has about 2 million followers on Instagram.
