New Delhi. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the gathering at 11 am via video conferencing. He sent his best wishes to the farmer brothers and sisters by tweeting on Twitter.

 Through this conferencing, they will launch a Rs 1 lakh crore lending facility under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.

Farmers will benefit greatly

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also announce the sixth installment of Rs 17,000 crore to 8.5 crore farmers under the 'PM-Kisan Yojana'.

The event will be attended by millions of farmers, cooperatives, and citizens across the country. Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will also be present on the occasion.

 17,000 crore will be transferred to the accounts of 8.5 crore farmers. The scheme will be helpful to farmers during the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Union Cabinet approves Rs 1 lakh crore 'agricultural infrastructure fund'

It may be mentioned that the Union Cabinet has approved the facility of finance under the 'Agricultural Infrastructure Fund' of Rs 1 lakh crore.

These funds will help in building ‘infrastructure for better post-harvest management’ (Community agricultural assets) and community agricultural assets such as cold storage, collection centers, processing units.

Farmers will benefit


With the launch of these facilities, farmers will be able to get better prices for their crops. These facilities will enable farmers to store their crops and sell their produce at the right price.

 This will increase their income. With the convenience of food processing, farmers will be able to get higher prices for their crops.
