Honda has showcased the all new variant of its popular Honda City in Thailand. That means this car will be sold here first. The company has launched a hatchback version of this car after a long time. It is believed that it will be launched in the Indian market soon. However, the company did not provide any information about this.

The engine of the New Honda City



The new Honda City will have BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine options. It will get a new 1.5 liter i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine with VTC (variable valve timing control), which will generate 121 PS of power and 145Nm of torque. It is equipped with a new 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed CVT. The petrol engine will average 17.8km / l and the CVT 18.4km / l.

The diesel engine will be a 1.5 liter i-DTEC unit and will generate 100 PS of power and 200Nm of torque. This will come with a 6-speed manual transmission. The new Honda City diesel engine will have a fuel efficiency of 24.1km / l.

Features and Specifications



The All New City hatchback will be offered in three variants S +, SV and RS. The new model will look similar to the sedan in appearance. It will have a large greenhouse area, sporty rear bumper, 8-inch screen infotainment system with redesigned taillamp, which will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The car will have 6 airbags for security, speed sensing auto door lock, emergency alarm system, balance control system with cornering vehicle stability assist. The 5th Generation Honda City is performing well in India. It is being sold in India in two variants with a starting price of Rs 9.30 lakh.

The company has not yet announced the price of the new variant of the Honda City introduced in Thailand. It is assumed that its price will be around the current variant.
