According to the Government of India figures, the daily number of tourists visiting the Statue of Unity rose to 15,036 in March 2020 (before the Corona period), against an average of 10,000 tourists a day visiting the Statue of Liberty.

In just 2 years of its unveiling, the statue's revenue crossed Rs 120 crore.
From November 1, 2018 to March 17, 2020, 43 lakh tourists from home and abroad came to see the Statue of Unity unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2018.

 This revenue is much higher than the top 5 monuments in the country. Thus, in 2019, the Statue of Unity became the highest-earning monument in the country.


According to the Statue Leading Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) 2017-18, even among the 5 major monuments in India, the highest of Rs. The annual income of the Taj Mahal was Rs 56.83 crore. Meanwhile, 64.58 lakh people visited the Taj Mahal. 


It was followed by Agra Fort with an annual income of Rs. 30.55 crore, Qutub Minar in third place with an annual income of Rs. 23.46 crore, followed by Fatehpur Sikri with an annual income of Rs. 19.04 crore and Red Fort was ranked fifth with an annual income of Rs. 16.17 crore. 



The Statue of Unity was visited by 24.45 lakh people on the completion of one year i.e. from 31st October 2018 to 31st October 2019 and its annual income is Rs. 63.69 crore.

The number of tourists doubled during the Diwali festivities
* The steady influx of tourists increased in the first year after the unveiling of Sardar Patel's statue on October 31, 2018.
* Last Diwali, 2,91,640 tourists visited, which was double the number of the previous year
.
* From 1 November 2018 to 31 October 2019, a total of 27,17,468 tourists visited.
* 50.4% increase in the number of tourists annually by adding Anera tourist attractions around the Statue of Unity.
* For the first time in the country, night tourism at Kevadia - the main road at night and all the projects are lit up with new colorful lights.

How to go to the Statue of Unity?
The nearest airport from Narmada to reach the Statue of Unity is Vadodara Airport, which is 90 kilometers away. There are several domestic flights from Vadodara Airport connected to other states. If you want to go by train, Narmada district has broad gauge railway connectivity, with the nearest railway station being Ankleshwar. Trains connected to Long Route and major stations stop at Ankleshwar Railway Station. The center of the district is at a distance of 65 km from Rajpipla.
