Kavita Modi wins Business Machinery-Parts Manufacturer of the Year award

‘My parents had a manufacturing unit for making plastic items used at home. Ever since I went to school I have had a desire to be an industrialist which is fulfilled today. My father used to say that women cannot work in the industry or in the manufacturing unit. This is the word of 42-year-old Kavita Modi who has had polio since she was two years old.

Speaking further, Kavita Modi said, "There are five sisters and one brother. My mother was in the business of plastic manufacturing." The school wanted to be an industrialist.

When I talked about joining the unit after finishing college, my father refused and asked me to go ahead with the music but I explained to my mother and started going to the unit. Initially I learned to repair machinery with workers and got information about how production is done in the unit.

When the cabin and responsibility are found, the client comes and asks if there is any man with whom we can talk about work.  My parents made a turnover of millions, I made crores and I set up another company." Kavitaben also recently received the Machinery and Parts Manufacturer of the Year award in the business world.
