The health ministry spoke of launching a Co-Win app for vaccination. But before its official launch, several apps with this name are appearing on Google Play Store. Hence the Union Health Minister Dr. Harshvardhan has warned that this app is a fake app and no one's personal information is likely to be stolen.




The ministry said the CoWIN app has not been officially launched. So don't download this name related app. This can lead to losses. Dr. Harshvardhan said that the CoWIN app will be officially launched soon.



What is the CoWIN app?

CoWIN (Covid-19 Vaccine Intelligence Network) is an upgraded version of eVIN (Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network). Once the application is completed, it will be available for free on Play Store and App Store.

The process of registration on the CoWIN app requires registration on the app

for vaccination. According to media reports, the registration process will be as follows ...

Photo and ID will be required for self-registration on Covin's official website.
Mobile number has to be submitted during registration.
As soon as the registration is done, the date, time and place of the vaccination will be available through SMS.


Messages will

be sent in 12 languages ​​People waiting for vaccination will be sent SMS in 12 languages. The vaccinated person will also receive a QR code certificate. It can be saved in mobile. It can be saved on the government app Digilocker.

Vaccination will take place in 3 phases The

Ministry of Health has clarified that vaccination of corona will take place in 3 phases. The vaccine will be given to frontline professionals in the first phase, people involved in emergency services in the second phase and people with serious conditions in the third phase.

The 5 modules of

the Covin app will work from this app on a platform for vaccination process administrative activities, vaccination personnel and all those who are about to be vaccinated. It consists of Administrative Module, Registration Module, Vaccination Module, Beneficiary Acceptance Module and Report Module.

Administrative Module: The people who will manage the vaccination event. They will determine the session through this module.

Registration Module: This module is for those who have registered in the vaccination program.

Vaccination module: will verify the information of people who have registered for vaccination and will also provide status update.

Beneficiary Acceptance Module: It will send a message to the recipients of the vaccine. It will also generate a QR code and people will also get an e-certificate of the vaccine.

Report Module: The report of the vaccination program will be prepared through it.

government said that the data of health workers and medical frontline workers is being uploaded on the app itself. These people will not be required to register. 

The government has often rehearsed at different levels to check the Covin app's software. More than 90,000 people in 700 districts have been informed about the use of the software.
