Preparing to build an IT hub like a diamond bourse:

1600 IT companies opened in Surat in just 2 years, students who have gone to Bengaluru, Pune for jobs are opening their own company in Surat, Google has opened Rs. 4,000 crore has been paid.

After the diamond and textile industry, Surat is now moving ahead in the IT sector as well. In the last two years, 1600 IT companies have come into operation, employing more than 16,000 employees.

 In 2019, more than 4,000 applications were created from Surat city and placed on the online platform, following which Google paid Rs 4,000 crore.

 A large number of young people who have gone to Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai to study and get jobs in the IT sector are opening their own companies in Surat.

Space will be arranged for all IT companies to be in one place like Diamond Bourse.

Arrangements will be made for IT companies, especially those requiring high speed internet and electricity. Efforts will be made to bring outsourcing work from foreign companies.

IT committee formed to provide employment to Surat youth
Ganpat Dhamelia, chairman of the IT committee of the chamber, said that Surat has become an IT hub in the IT sector and an IT committee has been formed in the chamber to provide employment to the youth of Surat. Apart from this we will also set up South Gujarat Innovation and Technology Society.
 We put the name up for registration. The purpose is to move forward well by creating an organization.

"I used to work for a company in Bengaluru, but I left my job and came to Surat," said Satish Shankar, an app developer and app developer. Now I am creating and uploading different types of applications. One of my apps is in the top 10 in the photography category. A company has hired an assistant to help me.



4,000 crore paid to
Surat in 2019 Different IT companies from Surat uploaded more than 4,000 applications in 2019, due to which Google paid Rs 4,000 crore as payment for uploading the app in 2019. Most applications were uploaded from Varachha area.

Outsourcing work is also done by a
large number of outsourcing companies in Surat with more than Rs 4,000 crore , especially for software making of bank, food production companies. According to an estimate, outsourcing work in Surat is worth Rs 4,000 crore.
