The vaccine will arrive at Ahmedabad airport at 5 pm today

Vaccine arrives: The vaccine will arrive at Ahmedabad Airport at 5 pm this evening, from where it will be taken to Gandhinagar storage through the Green Corridor.



Police personnel including DCP, ACP, PI, PSI will be stationed on the entire route from the airport to Gandhinagar.

The storage room in Gandhinagar will also have a round-the-clock police presence


With the Corona Vaccine Campaign starting from January 16, 2021 across the country, the Government of Gujarat is fully equipped for the distribution of this vaccine. The vaccine will arrive at Ahmedabad airport at 5 pm this evening. The vaccine will be taken from Ahmedabad airport to Gandhinagar storage. 

A green corridor will be set up to transport the vaccine to Gandhinagar. Police will be deployed on the entire route from the airport to Gandhinagar. Police personnel including DCP, ACP, PI, PSI will be stationed on the entire route. The storage room in Gandhinagar will also have a round-the-clock police presence.

Recently, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that India is going to carry out the largest vaccination in the world in the fight against the Corona epidemic. In Gujarat, we have completed the task of building a database quickly.

 More than four lakh healthcare workers, more than six lakh frontline workers including police, cleaners and those on direct duty in Covid will be given the first dose of the vaccine to a total of more than 11 lakh Covid workers.

A database of people suffering from other diseases has also been prepared. In Gujarat, more than 16,000 health workers have been trained to be vaccinators.

Chief Minister further added that the government has also made arrangements for cold chain transportation for the transportation of covid vaccines. 6 regional depots have been set up for vaccination.

 Gujarat has also received additional equipment from the Central Government. Vaccine trial run-up has also been successfully completed at 6 locations in rural and urban areas in Gujarat. Adequate arrangements will also be made at the Vaccine Center.

A waiting room There will also be a vaccination room and a separate observation room to keep the person under observation for a while after the vaccine is given.
